いでん (遺伝)

I have a choclate alergy and so does my mom, thus you could say the alergy is "genetic" or in my herdity.

ばんりょくそうちゅうこういってん (万緑叢中紅一点)

Most of the words I try to memorize here because they are useful. Not this one. haha This seemingly archaic idiom (related to majong) is kinda like "one red flower that is seen in a sea of greenery" or more idiomatically "one woman among a group of men"? Thats one big word! (The apparent abbreviation is ばんりょくいっこう btw, but had few hits.)

しょうがいしゃてちょう (障害者手帳)

Shockingly one of the Japanese management at my work asked me about if i had a "certificate of physical disability" today. I dont have any disabilities but said I didnt want to answer because it seemed like a discrimination question against disabled people. (FYI the 障害者 part is the part than means disabled.)

じみ (地味)

This simply means "simple" and was used to describe a movie idea i had.

ひがいもうそう (被害妄想)

Heres an odd descripter nouny for yall. I (regretfully) tend to get negative when i drink, so a friend told me when i'm drunk i have a "persecution complex" which i hope isnt true, but might be!

なぞる (擦る)

I saw this word on one of the triva tv screens in the train tonight. The triva was boring but thd word is cool. It means to "trace a drawing" or "follow someone" which makes sense, those are related actions. (The kanji seems not so common as the kana for this word?)

さらば

This formal interjection appears to mean something like "so long" or farewell or something equally old fashion. This was a book title (さらばアメリカ) in a store.

あせって (焦って)

This was on a poster selling English lessons (context: 英語でのプレゼン、上手く話そうと思えば思うぼど焦って上手く話せなくなる。) and in it's context should mean "in a hurry" or something right? with irration conotations because the base word (あせる - 焦る) means 'to be impatient about something' (thus あせらないで means 'take it easy') woot!
